Welcome to Gay Travel Belize, the only web site devoted to the gay and lesbian travellers looking to retreat to this stunning country. Although Belize itself is still not recognized as a gay destination, it is a very accommodating place to travel in the Caribbean. This site focuses primarily on the idyllic town of San Pedro, located on Ambergris Caye.

The largest of Belize’s many cayes, San Pedro offers exquisite boutique hotels, fine dining, world class water activities, such as diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kite surfing, boating, sailing and fishing. Situated south of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, and on the crystal clear waters of Caribbean Sea, this is a vacationers paradise.

The gay scene is far less noticeable that in let’s say, Puerto Vallarta. There are no rainbow flags or stickers, as this is a very catholic country, but I have found my home here in San Pedro, and feel very safe and secure being a out lesbian, especially here in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.
