Mathieu’s Delicatessen – now open

It recently opened its doors to the general public but Mathieu’s Delicatessen is already causing quite a stir. Gunther and Anna welcome you to their little cozy corner, located on the north end of Pescador Drive. Open at 6:00 a.m. Mathieu’s is ready to serve you with the best little delicacies available on Ambergris Caye. Gunter bakes all breads and pastries in house every day the Delicatessen is open. Daily specials and fantastic breakfast items are making this joint the talk of the town. I mean, how could you go wrong with croissants, danishes, baguettes, bagels, sour dough, whole wheat breads, brownies, apple crumbles, chocolate cakes, and many more yummy surprises?

Mathieu’s Delicatessen’s menu is also enticing – big, 3 – 4 egg omelets, stuffed with ham and cheese or veggies, the best apple cinnamon French toast, fluffy scrambled eggs, teas, coffee, this is your breakfast stop. Now, there is something that both Cori and I want to try – sounds absolutely heavenly and will be stopping at the Deli for this in the very near future – Tuna Carpaccio and Fries, their version of the Brit’s Fish and Chips. This is one of their lunch specials which are rotated along with other items such as Seared Lion Fish (yes, Lion Fish) with Honey Roasted Vegetables, Coconut Shrimp Soup served chilled with Pineapple Medallions.

Find Mathieu’s Delicatessen on Facebook and keep up to date with their daily specials. Gunther Mathieu and Anna Vivienne Williams are very excited to share their love of baking with you. Different treats every day, visit Mathieu’s today or give them a call at 670-DELI.
