Lobsterfest 2010

July 2007 was the first year that San Pedro, Ambergris Caye honored and celebrated the delicious red crustacean known as the Lobster, in its fourth year, the San Pedro Lobsterfest is back. Lobster is open seasonally from June 15th to February 15th, and now islanders enjoy a Festival where lobster is prepared in various finger licking forms, entertainment allows for dancing all night, while competitions such as the “Flavor of San Pedro” drink competition showcase the island’s creativity. So welcome to the 2010 Lobsterfest in Ambergris Caye.

Lobsterfest 2009

Lobsterfest 2010 is set to kick off today, Monday, June 14th at Banana Beach Resort’s El Divino Restaurant where a “Meat and Greet” cocktail party where Drink Specials, Prizes and Live Entertainment by Banda Cubana will be the order of the night. The festival is set to conclude on Saturday, june 19th with the Block Party to be held at Central Park. In addition to Food Booths, the Town Block Party will also feature a new ‘Community Corner’, Lobsterfest King and Queen Pageant, The ‘Flavor of San Pedro’ Drink, The Best Lobster Dish competition and People’s Choice Booth competition.

Enjoy lobster prepared in all forms at the 2010 Lobsterfest!

Tuesday – Fido’s Beach Carnival, BBQ and Lobster Weigh-In (11:00 a.m.) – featuring a Carnival-style atmosphere, you can enjoy a day choc-full with beach games, a horseshoe tournament, an enormous raffle, live music, ‘Grill Your Own Lobster’ Beach BBQ and the Official Lobsterfest Opening Day Weigh-In. Play the Lobster Spin, Lobster Darts or Pin the Tail on the Lobster to win great prizes.

Wednesday – starting at 6:30 pm - The Official San Pedro Lobsterfest Pub Crawl - beginning at the Lime located across the street from Tropic Air the Pub Crawl continues with Drink, Food Specials and other fun surprises at the Tacklebox Bar & Grill at 8:00 then The Roadkill Bar at 9:30 pm for a special night of fun Karaoke, high jinx and more. and finishing off at a special version of Wet Willy’s World Famous Ladies Night from 11:00 pm on.

Thursday is Pedro’s Inn – All You Can Eat Lobster Pizza, Lobster Trivia Night and Texas
Hold’em Poker Tournament

Friday – Captain Morgan’s Retreat Lobsterfest Event - gourmet dining, featuring a menu that includes home-baked breads, fresh seafood and the best of Caribbean and Central American cuisine.

Saturday starting at 3:00 pm will be a new addition to Lobsterfest – Lobsterfest Arts & Culture Festival – Central Park comes alive with the 1st ever Lobsterfest Arts & Culture Festival featuring live music, arts & craft displays and Belizean Cultural exhibits from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Featuring local artists and entertainment, this new event will highlight the rich culture of Ambergris Caye and Belize to locals and tourists alike.
